Healing Spirit Boutique

The Healing Spirit Boutique at the Peter and Paula Fasseas Cancer Clinic at UMC North is a convenient resource and welcomed haven for cancer patients and their loved ones.

The Boutique is conveniently located in the lobby of the Arizona Cancer Center at UMC North. While it is especially designed to meet the needs of cancer patients, survivors and their families, the Boutique carries a broad selection with items of interest to all.

Boutique Manager Elise Webber says people just seem to feel so comfortable in the Boutique. They’ll come in, take off their head scarves and try on wigs — a place where they feel they can do that. One woman commented that it just feels like home here.

The boutique is supported and staffed by the University Medical Center Volunteers who find the boutique experience very reqarding. A former oncology nurse and current boutique volunteer Shirley Livingston really enjoys the opportunity to put a smile on someone’s face. “Selfishly, it just makes you feel good that you can contribute in such a positive manner,” she says.

Continually Evolving

Webber describes the boutique as continually evolving: “We listen to what our customers want and do whatever we can to accommodate their needs, so we can make things as convenient as possible for them.”

Prosthetics & Bras

Fitters are available to meet with you at no charge in one of our private fitting rooms. You are welcome to bring along a friend or family member. Please call or stop by to schedule an appointment.

Wig Sales and Styling

The Boutique partners with Gadabout Salons to provide an extensive line of wigs. Sunstone has a wig loan program for those who lose their hair during chemotherapy and radiation and has partnered with Gadabout Salon. You are encouraged to call for an appointment for a fitting or styling in our beautifully furnished styling room.

"We have gone through a lot of emotional training and training on how to fit wigs and cut wigs," said Frank Westerbeke, vice president of Gadabout Salon. Westerbeke said stylists will work with the wigs as well as help patients whose hair is growing back to learn how to style it.

Hours & Location

The boutique is open from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, on the first floor of the cancer clinic at 3838 North Campbell Avenue.
